Gold Basin is a bulk-tonnage, oxide gold property in Mohave County, Arizona, approximately 1.5 hours’ drive from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Drilling completed in mid-2019 was combined with historic drilling data to deliver a Maiden JORC Resource* of 360,900 oz at an average grade of 0.84 g/t with a cut-off grade of 0.25 g/t, which is common for similar projects in the region.
The Maiden Resource was calculated for only the first 50m depth of the Cyclopic and Stealth areas of Gold Basin, which represent a 1.3km2 area of the larger 25km2 land package. The Maiden Resource comprises:
- Cyclopic – 279 Koz @ 0.85 g/t (0.25 g/t cut-off) – From 0 – 50m depth.
- Stealth – 82 Koz @ 0.78 g/t (0.25 g/t cut-off)
The mineralisation included in the resource is open in all directions, indicating that the project has outstanding geological potential for a million-ounce-plus gold endowment.
The Gold Basin Project is located within a major geological trend in NW Arizona in the USA, the transition zone between the highly-productive geology of Walker Lane and the southern copper belt.
*The Resource was delivered by a third party and does not have a NI 43-101 and is therefore classified as Historical. Fiorentina is working to deliver a NI 43-101 as part of its next drilling campaign to update the Resource.
